On Friday 23 May 2025, colleagues from DistriFresh and Vion Food Group were given a unique opportunity: a visit to the impressive container vessel HMM Rotterdam. The tour took place at the invitation of HMM (Hyundai Merchant Marine), a long-standing logistics partner for our sea freight to Asia.
The invitation was no coincidence. The HMM Rotterdam carries containers loaded with Vion products on board – an important link in our international logistics chain. The visit gave our colleagues the opportunity to see first-hand how our goods make their way to destinations around the world.
Accompanied by an HMM representative, they received an extensive tour of the vessel. For most of those present, it was their first time visiting a container ship of this scale – an impressive experience that left a lasting impression.

HMM has been a trusted partner for our sea freight to Asia for many years, particularly to China and South Korea. The visit to the HMM Rotterdam provided our colleagues with valuable insight into the complex logistics behind our export activities.
